DeSantis appoints Embry as Okaloosa County clerk effective January 2025

Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Brad Embry as Okaloosa County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller. This appointment will take effect on January 1, 2025.

Embry currently holds the position of Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller-Elect for Okaloosa County. His previous roles include serving as Chief of Staff for the Okaloosa County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, working as a Special Agent for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and acting as an Investigator for the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. He has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Troy University and a master's degree in public administration from the University of West Florida.
