Florida Chamber-backed candidates secure major wins in general elections

The Florida Chamber of Commerce has announced that 101 out of 103 candidates it supported in the recent general elections have secured victories. Mark Wilson, President and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, expressed his satisfaction with the results, stating, “Congratulations to the 98% of Florida Chamber pro-jobs candidates who won their General Election races.” He highlighted the high voter turnout, noting that "77% of registered voters" participated in the election.

Wilson emphasized confidence in those elected to advance pro-jobs policies and contribute to Florida's economic growth. The Chamber aims for Florida to become a top-10 global economy by 2030. The organization is committed to supporting free enterprise and job creation.

The Florida Chamber Political Institute played a significant role in this election cycle by endorsing 103 legislative candidates. It provided financial resources and voter education efforts to support these candidates. The increasing cost of campaigns led to the launch of the Free Enterprise Fund, aimed at backing pro-jobs candidates and causes.

Frank Walker, Executive Vice President of Government & Political Relations at the Florida Chamber, stated, “The Florida Chamber continues to unite Florida’s business community for good.” He congratulated the elected pro-jobs candidates and thanked Chamber members for their efforts in recruiting and electing these individuals.

The chamber looks forward to collaborating with its endorsed winners, leveraging its extensive political experience. Endorsements were made across various districts for both Senate and House elections.
