TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Department of Children and Families has announced the opening of a Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) location for Hamilton, Lafayette, and Suwannee counties. The site will be operational from Friday, November 8 through Sunday, November 10, allowing applicants to complete their in-person interviews.
"D-SNAP provides food assistance for Florida residents impacted by Hurricane Helene who are not receiving food assistance through the regular Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)," stated Department Secretary Shevaun Harris.
Residents of Hamilton, Lafayette, and Suwannee counties who have pre-registered online but have not completed their phone interviews can attend the D-SNAP location for an in-person interview. However, if a phone interview was already completed, an in-person interview is unnecessary.
The Department has reopened pre-registration for those who did not previously register online. It is encouraged that individuals pre-register online before attending the on-site interview. Online registration is available at www.myflfamilies.com/DSNAP from November 8 to November 10.
The on-site location details are as follows:

11340 100th Street

Dates: November 8-10, 2024

The Department plans to open additional D-SNAP locations in other approved counties with dates to be announced upon opening.
