The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) TrophyCatch program is set to honor the top 15 bass catches of the past season with a ceremony that will include awards and prizes. The event will recognize anglers who have caught bass weighing 13 pounds or more.
Scheduled for Saturday, November 16, at 5 p.m., the TrophyCatch Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place at Bass Pro Shops in Gainesville, Florida. The event promises insights from the TrophyCatch team about upcoming updates for the new season.
The TrophyCatch program is an initiative by FWC aimed at promoting and conserving Florida’s bass fishing industry. It encourages anglers to submit their catches of bass weighing eight pounds or more. Since its inception in 2012, it has grown into a community focused on responsible fishing practices while celebrating significant catches. Earlier this year, the program reached a milestone with over 15,000 approved trophy bass catches.
"Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate the achievements of fellow anglers and learn more about the future of bass fishing in Florida," stated an invitation from the organizers.
