Port Panama City highlights economic impact and future projects

Port Panama City Port Director Alex King recently addressed the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, highlighting the significant economic impact of Port Panama City. The port, situated near renowned beaches, has a direct economic contribution of $1.6 billion and supports 11,000 jobs. It serves as an important hub for both economic activity and supply chain operations with global reach.

The port is set to further enhance its impact through two upcoming infrastructure projects. In 2025, construction will commence on a second major warehouse. By 2027, work will begin on the East Terminal turning basin and expansion project.
