Florida issues emergency order for Hurricane Helene recovery

On September 29, 2024, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) filed Emergency Order 2024-08. This action was taken under the direction of Governor Ron DeSantis to facilitate recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene and to remove obstacles for businesses affected by the storm.

The emergency order includes provisions related to certified and registered contractors, license renewals, hotels, restaurants, elevator safety, alcoholic beverages and tobacco, veterinarians, mobile homes, residential condominium directors, homeowner association directors, relocation fees, and departmental orders.
