Arcadia Cold opens new cold storage facility near JAXPORT

Port partner Arcadia Cold has inaugurated a new cold storage facility in Jacksonville, marking the latest addition to the region's infrastructure aimed at meeting increasing consumer demand for frozen and chilled food. The facility spans over 300,000 square feet and is strategically located near JAXPORT.

Arcadia Cold’s CEO and President Chris Hughes emphasized the importance of being part of a port with expansion plans and investments in container routes that include South America. He stated, “We want to be part of a port that has expansion plans and is investing in itself with container routes that include South America.” Hughes also highlighted the significance of direct container service routes for perishable products, noting, “We also like the types of direct container service routes, inbound and outbound routes, given the types of perishable products, frozen or refrigerated, that our customers are involved in with both import and export capacity in and out of the U.S.”

The opening of this facility underscores Jacksonville's growing role as a hub for cold storage solutions catering to both domestic and international markets.
