Florida Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz, Jr. has announced the selected books for December as part of the Commissioner’s Book of the Month initiative. This program aims to encourage literacy and reading engagement among preK-12 students by highlighting five recommended books each month, tailored to different grade ranges.
For December, Commissioner Diaz is focusing on stories that capture the essence of the holiday season. He stated, “The holidays are a time for families to be together and create memories that last a lifetime.” He further encouraged families to spend quality time with loved ones during this festive period and suggested creating new holiday traditions by reading these selected tales.
