Florida launches upgraded TrophyCatch website for easier angler participation

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has launched an upgraded TrophyCatch website, aiming to provide anglers with a more user-friendly platform for tracking and sharing their trophy bass catches. The redesigned site includes improved functionality, enhanced security, and seamless integration with the GoOutdoors Florida licensing platform.

The TrophyCatch program allows anglers to record bass catches weighing 8 pounds or more. Participants can share their fishing achievements while contributing valuable data for the conservation and management of Florida's bass fisheries. In return, they receive prizes. The new site features an improved interface, better navigation, and options to hide catch waterbodies.

Hosted within the GoOutdoors Florida platform, the new TrophyCatch website allows users to access both their licensing account and TrophyCatch submissions using their existing login credentials. This integration simplifies participation in Florida's trophy bass program.

“The redesigned TrophyCatch website enhances how anglers track their big catches while helping us collect vital data to manage Florida’s bass fisheries. It’s a win for conservation and a win for anglers,” said Tom Graef, Director of FWC’s Division of Freshwater Fisheries Management.

FWC encourages anglers to visit the updated website and submit trophy bass caught since October 1, 2024. Participants have opportunities to be featured in success stories on the TrophyCatch Facebook page and become eligible for exclusive rewards.
