Florida National Guard Family Programs organized the inaugural Camp Blanding Family Programs Military Community Resource Day at the Camp Blanding Joint Training Center on April 4, 2025. The event aimed to provide servicemembers a centralized location to learn about the various programs available that offer resources to them.
The FLNG Family Program is comprised of Family Readiness, Family Assistance, and the Child & Youth Program, each offering specialized services tailored to meet individual needs.
Brian Stewart, a Soldier & Family Readiness specialist, expressed his understanding of the challenges faced by Florida guardsmen and their families. He emphasized the event's purpose, stating, "What brought this event about, was knowing the struggles that Florida guardsmen and their families go through, and knowing the resources that are available to them. We're here just connecting the dots."
Various vendors were present at the event, encouraging Airmen and Soldiers to interact with representatives to gain a comprehensive understanding of the services offered.
